I am Riccardo, born in Padova (Italy) during the winter of 1994. My university studies have focused on Earth sciences, particularly the evolution of Alpine chains. Photography has been my passion since childhood, but it was after high school that I discovered my true calling: landscape photography. As a geologist, I have spent much of my life immersed in nature, particularly studying mountain formations. With the Dolomites close to home, blending my two passions came naturally.

 

My photography is deeply influenced by my fascination with deep time—the vast, almost inconceivable scale of geological time compared to the fleeting span of human existence. This obsession draws me mostly to mountains and Nordic landscapes, where time reveals itself through raw, untouched terrains. These remote places become mirrors of an inaccessible past, landscapes where the human mind can wander beyond its own temporality.
